I General description
Type FT-10 valve position indicator of hydraulic controlled valve is one kind of opened angle indication meter for hydraulic remote control valve. The hydraulic flow for driving valve is counted by oval gear flow meter in the measuring chamber, and the rotating of this oval gear is being activated the pulse generator, therefore the valve position signal is produced by conversion from the counting of the pulse generator. This valve position signal can not only be read directly from indicator itself, but also can be output to hydraulic system by 4-20mA current or RS 485-bus cable to meet the deferent requirement from system.

1. Installation and commissioning
Note: Before adjusting on site, it must check with the cleanness of all hydraulic pipe lines in order to avoid the refuse and other impurities in the pipe lines coming into the indicator or the solenoid valve and thus the system cannot function properly.
A . Connect hydraulic system: the" IN" port connected tothe hydraulic power oil imports," out" port connected to the actuator oil inlet; when the hydraulic power oil through the valve position indicator,valve position indicator panel rotating display through the hydraulic oilflowing through the total volume, until the full implementation of hydraulic power oil converter, valve position indicator pointer stops rotating, now pointer indicating the location of the valve open position. ( Note: depending on the size of the actuator to display different volume ). Similarly, when the actuator is closed, the valve position indicator pointer will rotate counter clockwise recovery “0”, whereby the display actuator has been closed.
B. "0"position to adjust: due to the initial access of hydraulic system of hydraulic pipeline volume and pipeline & actuator aireffects, when the actuator is closed the valve position indicator can’t pointer back to"0" position; so the actuator should be repeatedly opened and closed several times until the actuator and pipeline residual air exhaust, press the valve position indicatoron the panel copper button, move the pointer to the "0" position.
2. Normal use
In normal use, the valve position indicator has the feature of memory function even after power failure of whole valve remote control system or system power switched off. The position indicator still displays primary position indication after the power supply switches on again.
Note: During operation any valve of valve remote control system, the operating switch should be put at the required position for 1~2 minutes after the required valve position is indicated on indictor. The purpose is to ensure that the valve is reached indeed at this position and eliminate the errors.
3. Indicator re-setting after emergency operation for hydraulic remote control valve
The position indication shall be different from valve actual position after valve emergency operation by hand pump and the valve position changed. In this case, the valve should be operated for one cycle from full close to full open and from full open to full close again；then move the pointer to the "0" position. the position indicator will be recovered to original normal working condition.
