I. Profile & features
F3 series pneumatic actuator consists of two types, namely the double-acting and single-acting (spring return).It is composed of two separated cylinders, double pistons, and scotch yoke-type driving mechanism, facilitating manufacture of large-size cylinder body. The product features high output torque and flexible and steady actions.The inner wall of the cylinder body and piston axles has been plated with hard chrome, ideal in resisting abrasion.
All the sliding parts have been equipped with oil-less bearing and pilot ring to minimize coefficient of friction and prolong the service life. The output torque characteristic of U-curve for the F3 series pneumatic actuator is more suitable to large-diameter ball valve and butterfly valve in terms of switch on/off and regulation; meanwhile, it is also fit for other occasions of 90°rotation.
1.Indicator-Output Shaft
A position indicator with namur mounting is the standard on all Flowtecal F3 series pneumatic actuators for ancillary accessories.
2.Piston Rods and Rod Bearings
Steel alloy piston rod with hard chrome plated, The steel alloy rod bearings provide low friction and extend the operation life.
3.Yoke Pin
Steel Alloy with hardened treatment and hard chrome plated which provide excellent anti-abrasion and transfer the torque to scotch yoke.
4.Cylinder
Cast Steel with chrome plated which provides high stability with long life.
5.Bi-directional Travel Adjustment
0°and 90°with standard adjustment ±5°
6.Dual Valve Mounting Interface Actuator Body
The unique one piece housing assures accurate alignment of both the torque shaft and the piston rod. Allows the flexibility to change the actuator fail mode, without disassembly and simply inverting in any position; Parallel or at right angles to flow line, in the vertical or the horizontal plane.
7.Scotch Yoke
The slot in the scotch yoke mechanism is precision machined. The yoke pin is induction hardened and chrome plated. It is supported at the top and bottom by a guide slot in the hosing and the yoke pin rollers are hardened steel.
8.Corrosion Resistant Painting
Flowtecal F3 series pneumatic actuator incorporate 3 stages of external corrosion resistant painting（Primer paint: Anti-rust painting and two parts of epoxy coating）to resist severe environment in the industries of chemical, petroleum and power plant.
9.Temperature Range
The standard temperature range（NBR seal is -20℃ to +80（-30°F to +144°F）,The options are available for low temperature（Silicone seal）-45℃ to +80℃（-81°F to +144°F
and high temperature（Viton seal）-20℃ to +177℃（-30°F to +319°F）
10.Torque Range
The actuator range of F3 type pneumatic actuator consists of 14 models, with torques form 1713Nm to 82170Nm at 5 bar(70psig) air supply.
11.ISO or MSS Mounting
F3 series pneumatic actuators have valve mounting pads in accordance with MSS SP-101 or ISO5211standard.
12.Manual Override（Optional）Depend on customer requirements and actuator size. Jackscrew or hydraulic manual overrides can be supplied.
